Primary Care Team Lead
42 hours per week, term time only
£25,702 per annum (pro rata if part time)
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Care Team Lead to join our primary school team at Treloar’s, following an internal promotion. The Care Team Lead will be responsible for generating and updating care needs for day students in the primary classes, as well as coordinating care and medications for all students in the primary school. They will be responsible for liaising with parents on a daily basis to meet student requirements and ensure communication to internal departments is carried out to fulfil needs.
The Primary Care Team Lead will be an integral part of the students Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) during their first years at Treloar’s school, working closely with Teachers to ensure all medical and health needs are considered and integrated to their school day. The individual will also be responsible for attending MDT’s, annual reviews, Child in Need (CIN) meetings and providing accurate and relevant information to ensure the students development and welfare.
The Primary Care Team Lead will ensure that staff resources are utilised to meet students’ needs through the school day and that any training or development requirements are identified and achieved in the team. The Primary Care Team Lead will support the staff members with their development in understanding the students’ needs and expanding the skills of the team to ensure ability to support the students. The Primary Care Team Leaders are responsible for ensuring that the students have access to a fun, engaging and interactive selection of play time activities through the year.
The successful candidate would benefit from previous experience in a similar role and have an interest in working with young children. They will have a good standard of education, including literacy, numeracy and IT; and also, be committed to enabling students to attain a high level of independence, dignity and self-respect. The post holder will hold a Residential Child Care Level 3 qualification or be willing to work towards this within an agreed timeframe.
