Senior IT Technician
£40,387 per annum
36.5 hours per week, full year contract
We are looking for a Senior IT Technician to assist the Systems Manager in maintaining an efficient and reliable ICT platform, meeting the needs of students and staff at Treloar’s.
This is primarily a second line role with responsibility for managing and addressing daily support requests across a large campus. The role will involve leading a small team of IT Technicians and overseeing their workload as needed.
The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in ICT related positions and possess knowledge comparable to MCP standards, although certification is not a requirement. We are looking for a proactive self-starter who is a quick learner, can work effectively within a team, work independently, and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience of the following is essential:
- Server 2019/2022 administration
- Windows 11 Professional deployment & support
- Azure Entra administration
- Active Directory administration
- Exchange online administration
- Hyper-V administration and monitoring
- Understanding of networking concepts
- Understanding of backup and recovery procedures
- Full familiarity with Microsoft core infrastructure
- Building, repairing, upgrading and maintaining desktop and laptop platforms
- Imaging/cloning technologies
- Diagnosis of network related issues
- Installation, diagnosis and maintenance of PC attached peripherals, printers, scanners
